But it’s not that simple. The clans have started their lives here and grown used to their territories. They can’t just randomly leave. They need to organize. But there’s no time, the wipeout has already begun. The first cat to cross paths with StarClan was, Morningstar, the leader of BreezeClan. One morning she was missing and her body was found laying by the stream bank. Owlfeather the medicine cat found signs of struggles. This led the cats to the decision that the killer was not a natural force, it was another cat. But who?
The cat’s decided to stay and try and take care of the killers themselves. Morningstar was not the only cat to die though during that moon. Soon after Owlfeather, the one who received the prophecy was murdered. The scents were always gone off of the cats, and they were always found near bodies of water. This killer was smart and wanted revenge against the cats. But neither PebbleClan or BreezeClan could figure out who was causing the issue. StarClan wasn’t any help either.
Yet, the cats showed no sign of leaving their home. They were growing desperate though for a sign from StarClan as leaf-bare grew strong. Prey was declining rapidly as the killer was also living in the territory. Not to mention light flurries of snow were now upon the clans. It seemed that nature was against them and trying to destroy them. But finally StarClan came through with a new omen, a way to save the clans.“As blood turns the clear water red,
A new generation is growing strong,
Four cats can save the clans,
Only with their strength and skills,
Will you destroy the one who kills.”
They gave no note of who those four cats were. But the clans figured that there were two from each clan. They only know of one for sure. A she-cat of BreezeClan, an apprentice who everyone figured would fail her job. She was a blind black cat with bright yellow eyes. But she had a strong heart and her self-confidence was high. When BreezeClan heard the news of who PebbleClan had chosen as the “chosen cat” they mocked them at the next gathering. But their choice was right, as for that night StarClan sent a sign to Goosewing the medicine cat of PebbleClan. When he awoke the next morning he found a swallow feather right outside of his den. Swallowpaw was one of the chosen cats.
